In a significant announcement for the WWE event in Glasgow, Scotland, The Judgment Day will be banned from ringside during the World Heavyweight Championship match between Damian Priest and Drew McIntyre.
This stipulation was confirmed during the main event of “WWE Raw” leading up to Clash at the Castle. The condition was set during an in-ring promo where Priest challenged McIntyre to a match against Finn Balor. The agreement was that if McIntyre won, Judgment Day would be barred from ringside, whereas if Balor won, they would be allowed to accompany Priest.
The bout between Balor and McIntyre was intense, taking place both inside and outside the ring. Highlights of the match included McIntyre’s belly-to-belly suplex, sending Balor over the announce desk, and a Glasgow Kiss followed by a Future Shock DDT from McIntyre, indicating he was close to victory.
However, distractions ensued as Priest made his way down the ramp, and other members of The Judgment Day, including Carlito and JD McDonagh, attempted to interfere but were fought off by McIntyre.
Despite the attempted interference, McIntyre managed to regain control of the match. Balor tried to capitalize on the chaos with a roll-up pin, but McIntyre kicked out.
Ultimately, McIntyre secured the win with a Claymore Kick to Balor, ensuring that Judgment Day would be banned from ringside during his upcoming championship match against Priest. This victory set the stage for McIntyre to challenge Priest without outside interference.
This stipulation adds a significant layer of anticipation to the upcoming match at Clash at the Castle. McIntyre, aiming to reclaim the World Heavyweight Championship that he lost at WrestleMania 40 due to Priest’s opportunistic Money in the Bank cash-in, will now face Priest one-on-one.
