WWE’s Dijak Faces Uncertain Future Amid Contract Negotiations

Dijak, who was recently promoted to WWE’s main roster during the 2024 WWE Draft, has yet to make an appearance on the main roster shows. His tenure with “WWE NXT” has been significant, particularly his second stint.

Despite his promotion, Fightful Select reports that Dijak’s WWE contract is nearing its end, set to expire by the end of June 2024. Currently, Dijak is in negotiations with WWE, and while discussions have been positive, no formal offer has been extended yet.

Sources within WWE suggest that there is interest in retaining Dijak, but no concrete plans have been established for his debut on “WWE Raw.” Interestingly, he was not invited to the June 3 episode despite attending previous tapings.

This uncertainty about his immediate future on the main roster contrasts with the significant interest from other wrestling promotions, both in the U.S. and internationally, should he become a free agent.

Despite the lack of immediate main roster plans, the overall outlook isn’t entirely negative for Dijak. WWE insiders believe that the company will likely attempt to re-sign him. His professional conduct and willingness to mentor younger wrestlers have been noted positively. Moreover, Dijak’s strong social media presence has caught the company’s attention, potentially increasing his value to WWE.

Dijak first joined “WWE NXT” in 2017 under the name Dominik Dijakovic, gaining recognition for his matches with Keith Lee. His initial main roster stint in 2020 under the name “T-BAR” as part of the Retribution stable was less successful. He returned to “NXT” in 2022, where he re-established his presence before his recent call-up to the main roster.
