Jordynne Grace surprised everyone by joining the WWE Women’s Royal Rumble while still being the TNA Knockouts World Champion, just like Mickie James did.

Now, Grace is busy in WWE’s developmental brand and getting ready to fight Roxanne Perez at NXT Battleground this weekend. Last night, Mickie James shared her feelings on X, talking about how special it was to see Grace in WWE and what it means for her journey.

Mickie James~Aldis on X (formerly Twitter): “The feels I get seeing the Knockouts World Championship held up high INSIDE a WWE ring makes me… ahhhsaaahhh…. 🤪 https://t.co/JOAkmJOA9n / X”

Grace and James had a memorable feud over the Knockouts World Championship in Impact Wrestling that started in fall 2022. This rivalry reached its peak at the Hard to Kill pay-per-view in 2023, where James triumphed over Grace in a high-stakes Title vs. Career match.

Not long after this intense competition, Impact Wrestling rebranded itself back to its former name, TNA Wrestling, marking a nostalgic return to its roots.

Before her feud with Grace, Mickie James had surprised fans by entering the 2022 Women’s Royal Rumble with the Knockouts World Championship in her possession after her earlier appearances in the 2018, 2019, and 2021 Rumbles. Grace’s participation in the Royal Rumble earlier this year seems to have signaled the beginning of a collaborative relationship between WWE and TNA.

This partnership appears to be growing, with hints of further engagements beyond Grace’s role in NXT, as more performers suggest possible future matches between the two promotions.

One notable wrestler involved in this inter-promotional activity is Mustafa Ali, a current TNA star with a background in WWE. The X-Division Champion has hinted at an upcoming match against WWE star Cedric Alexander, another “205 Live” alum.

Ali, who like Alexander was often seen as underutilized in WWE, suggested giving his former rival a shot at the X-Division title, indicating that Alexander might soon appear in TNA, further cementing the evolving cooperation between WWE and TNA.
