Ethan Page has quickly become a prominent figure in “WWE NXT,” setting his sights on the NXT Championship while also making numerous enemies due to his recent backstage assaults.
After this week’s “NXT” show, Page faced retaliation from Oro Mensah, who attacked him following Page’s intense staredown with current NXT Champion Trick Williams. The confrontation between Page and Mensah was heated, requiring referees and WWE security to intervene and separate them.
Page is scheduled to challenge Williams for the NXT Championship at the Battleground event, which will take place at the UFC Apex venue in Las Vegas, NV. Mensah, who, along with his Meta-Four colleague Noam Dar, had been previously attacked weeks ago, was initially thought to have been assaulted by Williams.
However, it was later revealed that Page was responsible for the attacks, which occurred moments after he signed with NXT, following a protracted contract negotiation with NXT General Manager Ava.
Prior to joining WWE NXT, Ethan Page had been signed with AEW since 2021 but left the company earlier this year. His debut in NXT coincided with the appearance of TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace, leading to speculation that Page might have returned to TNA, where he held the record for the longest-reigning tag team champion alongside Josh Alexander.
This speculation arose due to the perceived working relationship between NXT and TNA, but it was ultimately confirmed that Page had officially joined WWE NXT.
Page’s arrival in NXT has significantly shaken up the roster and storylines, with his aggressive actions and rapid ascent putting him at the center of attention.
As he prepares to face Williams for the NXT Championship, tensions are high, not just with Williams but also with other NXT competitors like Mensah. The upcoming Battleground event promises to be a pivotal moment for Page, whose actions and ambitions have already made a substantial impact on the NXT landscape.
