Before her in-ring confrontation with Perez, Grace had an unexpected backstage meeting with WWE’s Senior Vice President of Talent Development Creative, Shawn Michaels. Grace later shared her experience of this encounter during a segment on “Busted Open Radio.”

During her interview, Grace expressed her amazement at Michaels’ familiarity with her career. “He was like, ‘I’m such a big fan of you.’ And I was like, ‘I’m a big fan of you too’ … It was crazy,” Grace recounted.

She was particularly surprised by Michaels’ knowledge of her powerlifting and bodybuilding endeavors, as well as specific details about her career and dietary habits. Grace admitted that she never expected someone of Michaels’ stature to be aware of her work beyond wrestling, attributing this recognition to her recent buzz from the Royal Rumble.

Grace found it surreal that a wrestling legend like Shawn Michaels would know so much about her beyond just her professional achievements in the ring. Michaels even mentioned specific diets Grace had followed, showcasing an in-depth knowledge that left her astonished.

She had initially thought that her appearance in NXT was primarily due to her Royal Rumble buzz, but Michaels’ comments proved that he had been following her career closely for some time.

Adding a touch of humor to the interaction, Michaels referenced a viral tweet from Grace in which she humorously claimed to include a Pop-Tart and beef sandwich in her post-workout diet.

Although Michaels initially believed the tweet, Grace later clarified that it was a joke. This light-hearted exchange highlighted the personal connection and mutual respect between Grace and Michaels, marking a memorable debut for Grace in “NXT.”
