Jailton Almeida is coming off a knockout loss to Curtis Blaydes in March and is now set to face Alexandr Romanov at UFC 302 on Saturday. The Brazilian fighter, confident in his abilities, is the betting favorite for this matchup. Almeida believes he can make a significant comeback with a victory over Romanov and is determined to get back into the win column in a big way.

If Almeida secures a win, he hopes to return to the octagon in August for the Perth card in Australia, facing whoever the UFC matches him up against. He expressed his enthusiasm for fighting in Australia again, stating, “I’m not sure, if I feel healthy then I would love to fight in Australia again [at UFC 305].

It just depends on my health, but I wish to be back in Australia again. It’s not up to me, but I definitely want to,” Almeida told BJPENN.com through Stake.com, where he is an ambassador.

Should Jailton Almeida get his wish to fight at UFC 305 in Perth and achieve another victory, he believes this would position him for a fight against Tom Aspinall, which he considers a dream match. “Tom Aspinall is still the dream fight for me, at some point in my career that has to happen for me because it is a dream fight.

It would be a full circle moment for me, but I’m not certain what the future holds for me because I don’t know what the division is going to look like across the next 12 months or so. I want to beat Romanov so that I can also gain revenge against Curtis and eventually face Aspinall,” Almeida said.

As Almeida looks ahead, he remains focused on his immediate challenge against Alexandr Romanov at UFC 302 in New Jersey. He knows that a victory is essential for any future plans, including a potential rematch with Curtis Blaydes and the coveted fight against Tom Aspinall. First and foremost, Almeida needs to secure a win on Saturday to keep his dreams alive.
