Casey O’Neill is set to make a comeback in her home country. Multiple sources with knowledge of the promotion’s plans have confirmed that a flyweight bout between O’Neill and Tereza Bleda is in the works for UFC 305, scheduled for August 18 at the RAC Arena in Perth, Australia.
Verbal agreements have been reached for the 125-pound fight.
O’Neill, after a 9-0 start to her professional career that included winning her first four octagon appearances, is now on a two-fight losing streak.
In 2023, “King” suffered a decision loss to former title challenger Jennifer Maia at UFC 286 and was submitted by Ariane Lipski at UFC 296 in December.
The 26-year-old fighter has three stoppage victories in the UFC. Bleda will be making her third promotional appearance, coming off her first UFC win.
The 22-year-old was defeated by Natalia Silva in her UFC debut in November 2022 but secured a unanimous decision victory over Gabriella Fernandes at UFC Vegas 75 in June 2023.
