The culmination of the 2024 King and Queen of the Ring tournaments is set to unfold at WWE’s signature premium live event in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, this weekend.

However, before the finalists enter their respective battles, WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque has unveiled a significant update regarding the stakes of these prestigious tournaments.

In addition to claiming the coveted titles, Levesque confirmed, during the WWE Experience event in Riyadh, that the winners of the King and Queen of the Ring series will also secure world title opportunities at the August 2024 SummerSlam event, slated to take place in Cleveland, Ohio.

Clarifying further, Levesque emphasized that the victors will directly challenge the reigning world champions of their respective brands, eliminating any discretion in selecting their title match opponents.

The recent episode of “WWE Raw” witnessed the commencement of the semi-final tournament matchups, with Jey Uso squaring off against GUNTHER in the King of the Ring brackets, while Lyra Valkyria clashed with IYO SKY in the pursuit of the Queen of the Ring throne.

Ultimately, GUNTHER and Valkyria emerged victorious, securing their berths in the finals. The forthcoming episode of “WWE SmackDown” will feature the remaining semi-final faceoffs.

In the King of the Ring tournament, Randy Orton is set to lock horns with The Bloodline’s Tama Tonga, with Solo Sikoa and Tanga Loa potentially looming in the background as reinforcements. The winner of the Orton-Tonga showdown will progress to face GUNTHER in the finals.

Similarly, Nia Jax and WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Bianca Belair are slated to collide on the upcoming episode of “WWE SmackDown,” with the triumphant contender advancing to face Valkyria in the concluding round of the Queen of the Ring tournament.
