Hellbound is a South Korean TV series that has been directed by Yeon Sang-ho. It is based on a webtoon of the same name. Climax Studio handled the production of the tv show, the filming for the movie began in Cube Indoor Studio in August of 2020 and ended in January of the previous year. The filming locations for the show consist of Hannam University Missionary Village in Daedeok-gu, and the old Chungnam Provincial Government Buildings in Sunhwa-dong were the location that was used for the filming of the show. As for the story, the year this show takes place in 2022 to 2077 in South Korea.

South Korea gets invaded by some otherworldly things these beings are called angels who have all of the certain started to appear in front of people. Upon appearing in front of the people, these angels tell them prophecies which are called decrees. In these decrees are revealed how much time that person takes before they are sent to Hell at a specified time in the future, which can be seconds as well as years away. They’re also three gigantic supernatural monsters that arrived at the same time as the angels. Who then appears in front of the person whose time has arrived. Then these monsters maul and incinerate the person’s body which they call a demonstration.
There are two organizations called the cult-like New Truth Society and the gang-like Arrowhead group. Both of these gangs take control by playing with people’s fear. The season follows the story of different people the first revolves around a detective that is investigating the supernatural phenomena at the same time also investigating the chairman of the New Truth religious order and a principled attorney. Later, it tells the story of a TV producer and his wife who are worried that their newborn baby is going to Hell.
Hellbound Season 2 Release Date
As for the release date, there hasn’t been anything said about what the future holds for Hellbound, as there is nothing said by either the director or the network. But there is something that was said by the director, Yeon Sang-ho, which he revealed during an interview with Variety. He said that the show is based on the original webtoons, and his partner Choi Kyu-Seok will be thinking about where the story will move towards. They will first work on the webtoon then they will decide whether they want to turn it into a live-action series. If this is the case, then we will most likely see the second season in 2023 or 2024.
