Dakaichi is a manga series that is written by Hashigo Sakurabi, and it first started serializing in July 2013. The manga was quite popular as it was later then picked up by anime studio CloverWorks, who are known for their work on such anime as Darling in the Franxx, The Promised Neverland, and most recent Spy × Family, which is one of the best animes out there right now. The anime was directed by Naoyuki Tatsuwa, and Yoshimi Narita was the writer for it. Furthermore, numerous people worked on the anime as producers like Tomoyo Kamiji, Narumi Odagiri, Miho Kikoshi, and Yasushi Yoshida. After the anime, there was an anime film announced which was a canon film that had adapted the Spain Arc from the manga.
All of the cast members of the anime reprised their roles in the film. Both Naoyuki Tatsuwa and Yoshimi Narita reprised their roles of director and writer, respectively. In this, we follow the story of Takato Saijō, who got into acting when he was a child and was dubbed as the “sexiest man of the year” in the entertainment industry. This happened continuously for five years straight, which was a very insane feat. But this crown of his was taken by another actor named Junta Azumaya, who is young but new to this job. Both of them know each other and have different opinions on one other Takato sees Junta as a worthy rival, but on the other hand, Juta greatly admires Takato to a point that he is in love with him.
This tells the love story of these two and how it progresses as the time passes. The cast of the show consists of Takato Saijō, voiced by Hiroki Takahashi, Azumaya Junta who is voiced by Yūki Ono, Ayagi Chihiro, who is voiced by Takuya Satō, Narumiya Ryō, who is voiced by Yuma Uchida, Usaka Kazuomi who is voiced by Kohsuke Toriumi, Arisu Kiyotaka who is voiced by Wataru Hatano, Seresu who is voiced by Show Hayami, and last but not the least Antonio who is voiced by Fukushi Ochiai.
Dakaichi Season 3 Release Date
After the release of the film for Dakaichi, there hasn’t been any update as to whether there will be a new season for the show. Fans of the series are still wondering whether they will get another season of this anime, but they should lose any hope as the manga is still going on, which means the studio has enough material for adapting it into another season. Moreover, who knows if they are planning on making another film instead of the season and they need some more time to finish the production for it.
