Uncharted is a movie that was released in 2022 that is based on the Uncharted video game franchise that was developed by Naughty Dog. The movie was directed by Ruben Fleischer, the screenplay by Rafe Lee Judkins, Art Marcum, and Matt Holloway, and the story was written by Rafe Lee Judkins, Jon Hanley Rosenberg, and Mark D. Walker. The movie is based on one of the best video games ever made, which goes by the same name (Uncharted), and this gaming franchise has sold a total of 41.7 million units which is quite insane for a game that is available on a single console. The movie for it was announced, and many people were hyped for this project as it will bring their favorite game to the big screen.
The story of the film revolves around Nathan Drake, who is recruited by Victor Sullivan, who is a treasure hunter. Nate is tasked with recovering the fortune of Ferdinand Magellan, which was lost 500 years ago, and this treasure of Magellan is no joke as he had amassed quite a large sum of wealth. This job first, seems like a heist becomes a race of who will be getting their hands on it, first them or the dangerous Santiago Moncada. Santiago Moncada believes that this treasure belongs to him and his family. Nate and Sully then have to decipher the clues that have been left behind by those who came before them to solve the world’s oldest mystery.
If they are successful in figuring these clues out, they will get their hand on $5 billion worth of treasure. This is a very Uncharted type of story, which is something that shows that the film crew has fully understood what Uncharted is supposed to be like. As for the cast Tom Holland as Nathan Drake, Mark Wahlberg as Victor Sullivan, Antonio Banderas as Santiago Moncada, Sophia Ali as Chloe Frazer, Tati Gabrielle as Braddock, and finally Rudy Pankow as Samuel Drake. The fans have been on their feet because they want to hear some news about whether or not there will be a second movie in the Uncharted franchise.

Unfortunately, there hasn’t been an official word on whether or not there will be an Uncharted 2. The director of Uncharted stated that he has a lot of ideas in store that he can use in the sequel of the movie if the project is greenlit. The main way to see if there will be the second part of a movie is by looking at its success. That movie was without a doubt a success as it was received positively by the fans and the critics alike. Furthermore, the movie has grossed $395 million worldwide with a budget of $120 million, which is quite an impressive feat. This clearly shows that there is most likely going to be Uncharted 2 and if so then its details are going to be released by the end of this year.
