Start up is a Korean TV series that was released back in October of 2020 and ended in the same year. The show was directed by Oh Choong-hwan and written by Park Hye-Ryun. As for the production of the show, it was handled by Studio Dragon, who is known for their work on The Guest, Arthdal Chronicles, Sweet Home, and Happiness. The show had a very positive response upon its release from the critics as well as the audience. It was one of the most popular dramas at that time, and this show was also one of the most popular tv shows on Netflix. Furthermore, it was on The 13 Best Korean Dramas Of 2020 list of Forbes, which is quite impressive.
The story of the show is set in the fictional Silicon Valley called Sandbox, which is located in South Korea. We follow the story of a young woman named Seo Dal-mi, who is an ambitious young woman that dreams of becoming Korea’s Steve Jobs. Even though she doesn’t come from a fancy background, it doesn’t stop her from dreaming big. She possesses great energy, has a strong will, and most of all have experience, which matters a lot that she got from her the many part-time jobs she once had. On the other hand, we have Nam Do-san, that is the founder of Samsan Tech.

He is a genius that was at one time the pride of his family, but this changed when his business goes down during the past two years, and this make him the shame of the family. Both Dal-mi and Do-san meet each other, and for some reason, Dal-mi mistakenly thinks of him as her first love. Then Dal-mi decides that he wants to this mistake into reality. As for the cast members, it consists of Bae Suzy as Seo Dal-mi, Nam Joo-hyuk as Nam Do-san, Kim Seon-ho as Han Ji-pyeong, Kang Han-na as Won In-Jae/Seo In-Jae, Kim Hae-sook as Choi Won-deok, Yoo Su-bin as Lee Chul-san and many more.
A Start Up Season 2 Details
The fans of the series have been waiting for any news regarding the show’s renewal, but it is highly unlikely that it will be coming back as the story of the show perfectly ended in the first season. If there is any hope for the second season, we would have heard about it right after the first season ended because it had been a popular show, it was bound to release another season. But fans shouldn’t worry as a tv series is in development by the same name, which will be from the Philippines that is scheduled to release in 2022. Its cast members have been revealed, but not much else is revealed.
