Mouse is a South Korean tv series that was released back in March 2021 to critical and commercial success. The show was directed by Choi Joon-bae and Kang Cheol-woo, with Choi Ran as the writer for the show. The tv series’ production was handled by two studios named HIGROUND and Studio Invictus. It was a unique show that told the story revolves around Jeong Ba-reum, who is a steadfast police officer whose life was changed when he was investigating a psychopathic serial killer. He and his partner Go Moo-chi, after diving deep into the case, want to discover the truth behind psychopathic behaviors.
During their investigation, many questions arise, like if it is possible to see whether the baby is a psychopath in the mother’s womb by using very dangerous genetic testing. If possible, then is it alright to have that child. It is a very interesting premise that was inspired by the Incheon Elementary School Murder case that happened in 2017. As told previously, the show broke many records, one of which was that it became the highest viewership ratings among all tvN’s dramas in more than two years that aired on Wed-Thur.
The cast of it consists of Lee Seung-gi as Jeong Ba-rum, Lee Hee-Joon as Ko Moo-chi, Park Ju-hyun as Oh Bong-yi, and Kyung Soo-jin as Choi Hong-ju, Lee Seo-jun as Na Chi-guk, Woo Ji-hyun as Gu Dong-gu, Kim Young-jae as Ko Moo-won.
