About the Production of the movie
Sylvester Stallone started in May 2010 when he wanted the Rambo series to end. Rambo V: The Savage Hunt was the working title for the fifth film. Millennium Films greenlit the film in August 2009, with Stallone writing, directing, and starring. David Morrell, the creator/author of Rambo, rewrote the story for Rambo V. Stallone pitched the idea to the producers, but they preferred to focus on the human trafficking story, abandoning Rambo and Morrell’s script. Stallone announced in January 2016 that he would not be participative in production.
