What is the Plot of the Movie?
Pillow Talk follows the story of Jan Morrow, who lives alone in New York. It was set in the late 1950s, Morrow is a successful New York City interior decorator. When interrogated by her housekeeper, she claims to be content with her situation, but the only irritant in her life is her neighbor Brad Allen who uses the same party line. Brad Allen, a gifted and inventive Broadway composer, and playboy, lives in a nearby apartment complex. Allen talks on the phone with one young woman after another, singing to each of them an “original” love song that he claims was written just for her.

One night when Jan was bragging about her new beau, Brad told her about “Rex,” his new song. When Jonathan learns of Brad’s disguise, he compelled Brad to leave New York City and travel to Jonathan’s cabin in Connecticut to finish his new songs. Brad seeks advice from Jan’s housekeeper, Alma. Alma suggests that he should hire Jan to embellish his apartment so that they are forced to work together.
She plucks the melody on the piano and recognizes Brad’s song “Rex” from his sheet music. Brad delegated all design decisions to Jan, instructing her to create a space that she would want to live in.
