Top Gun Maverick is an upcoming film that is been directed by Joseph Kosinski, with Ehren Kruger, Eric Warren Singer, and Christopher McQuarrie serving as the writers of the film. This film will be a sequel to 1986 Top Gun that had mixed reviews, but the audience did love every single bit of that film. Top Gun was praised for its action sequences, particularly breathtaking aerial footage, which was quite something at that period. Top Gun: Maverick Plot Details
The story of the film follows Captain Pete “Maverick” Mitchell, who on purpose, denied the advancement in rank during his thirty-six years of service. He is then given orders by his former rival Admiral Tom “Iceman” Kazansky who is now the commander of the U.S. Pacific Fleet, and tells him to train a group of Top Gun graduates for a special mission that hasn’t been specified.
Among these newly graduated is Lieutenant Bradley “Rooster” Bradshaw, who is the son of Nick “Goose” Bradshaw who was Maverick’s late best friend. This plotline shows that the previous film will have a very heavy influence on the second film as many old characters are present in the movie.
