On the 4th of March 2020, the Official Twitter Account of Shogakukan Comic imprint had announced that Kenjiro Hata’s manga “TONIKAWA: Over The Moon For You”, will be receiving an Anime Adaptation. The Official Website of “TONIKAWA: Over The Moon For You” anime confirmed the broadcasting dates for the series on the 1st of August. The Anime is set to premiere on the 2nd of October 2020.
The Anime Adaptation of “TONIKAWA: Over The Moon For You” will be handled by Studio Seven Arcs, with the series being Directed by Hiroshi Ikehata. The Script for the anime will be written by Kazuho Hyodo and the Character Designs will be taken care of by Masakatsu Sasaki. The Anime will be premiering on Tokyo MX but it will also be shown on YTV and BS NTV in Japan, Crunchyroll has obtained license to stream the anime as well.
Promotional Videos as well as Key Visuals for the Anime have been released and can be viewed on Youtube or the Official Website for the Anime. The Cast for the series has also been announced with Akari Kito starring as Tsukasa (The Heroine) and Junya Enoki starring as Nasa (The Hero).

Written and illustrated by Kenjiro Hata, popularly known for his work, Hayate The Combat Butler, which had an amazing run as a manga series and even inspiring 4 anime adaptations and a movie under the same name.
“TONIKAWA: Over The Moon For You”, is another successful Japanese Manga Series by Kenjiro Sensei that was serialized in Shogakukan’s Weekly Shōnen Sunday back in February of 2018. Currently ongoing with a total of 11 volumes released.

The Story follows the life of Nasa Yuzaki, who used to be very conscious of his name and decides to study really hard in order to not be teased for his name. On the way back home from school, he sees a girl, Tsukasa Tsukuyomi, waiting at the bus station and right then and there he falls in love with her.
Upon feeling this uncontrollable emotion of affection towards this girl even before talking to her pushes him to approach her but even before he could call her out Nasa gets hit by an oncoming truck but is barely saved by Tsukasa. He confesses his love to her amidst this chaos, and Tsukasa agrees to him but on the condition that he marries her, to which he almost immediately agrees.
Nasa loses consciousness after this interaction and is rushed to the hospital, when he wakes up he realizes he has no way to contact her, and just as that 3 years go by. Still holding onto a hair of hope that the girl will someday return into his life. One evening Nasa hears a knock only to be greeted by Tsukasa, who has brought along all the paperwork required to get married.
