The uncanny Counter is a tv series that is based on the webtoon named Amazing Rumor by Jang Yi. The first season aired back in November 2020 and ended in January of 2021. During its run time, the show had a lot of people watching it, and it reached a wider audience when the show started to stream on Netflix, which boosted its popularity even further. The show was then renewed for a second season, and this news was announced right after when the first season of The Uncanny Counter was over. Very great news for the fans, that’s for sure, and they are eagerly waiting for its return.
The show’s first season was handled by none other than Studio Dragon, who is responsible for some of the best K-Drama s out there. The show was been directed by Yoo Seon-dong and Park Bong-seop, with Yeo Ji-na, Yoo Seon-dong, and also Kim Sae-bom being the writers for the show. The show’s plot can be categorized in the fantasy genre, which is set in the fictional city of Jungjin, in that place residence a group is called the Counters bear. Their mission is to search for evil spirits that are known as akgwi and banish them once end for all. These spirits escape from the afterlife, and by doing so, they gain immortality.
The Uncanny Counter Season 2 Plot
These spirits can possess a human being that has killed someone or meant to kill someone, and they push them to commit these activities, which will allow them to consume the victim’s spirit. But some are in this world to oppose them, and they are named The Counters, who were once in a coma and then came in contact with a partnering spirit from Yung (Yung is a place that lies between the afterlife and the world of the living) when they are possessed it give these humans perfectly healthy bodies. Furthermore, on top of that, they are also given superhuman strength and supernatural abilities that aid them in the battle against these evil spirits.

Amongst these, we follow the story of three Counters named Ga Mo-tak, Do Ha-na, and Choo Mae-ok. The three of them work in Eonni’s Noodles, but in secrecy, this restaurant is their base of operations. There aren’t many details as to what will happen in the second season, but it will pick up from where the story of the first season ended.
The Uncanny Counter Season 2 Cast Members
The cast members of the second season are yet to be revealed, but the main characters of the first season will most likely make their return which consists of Jo Byung-gyu as So Mun, Yoo Jun-sang as Ga Mo-tak, Kim Se-jeong as Do Ha-na, Yeom Hye-ran as Choo Mae-ok and many more. When the release of the second season draws near, new cast members will also get revealed to us.
The Uncanny Counter Season 2 Release Date
