On 10th May of 2020, it was announced that Aniplex, Key and P.A.Works will be collaborating to create their Third Original Anime titled “The Day I Become A God”. Jun Maeda was credited for the Original Work and Script for the anime, aside from this series, Jun Maeda is also famous for his works in Charlotte and Angel Beats!. The Anime will be premiering on Tokyo MX along with other platforms in Japan on the 10th of October 2020.
The Animation for “The Day I Become A God” will be handled by Studio P.A.Works and the show will be directed by Yoshiyuki Asai. The Script as mentioned before will be written by Jun Maeda himself and the Character Designs will be taken care of by Manabu Nii, who will be adapting the Original Character Designs by Na-Ga into animation.
The Cast For The Anime Announced Include:
Ayane Sakura (Known for voicing the role of Nao Tomori from Charlotte) will be voicing the character of Hina.
Natsuki Hanae (Known for voicing the role of Kaneki Ken from Tokyo Ghoul) will be voicing the character of Yōta Narukami.
Yui Ishikawa (Known for voicing the role of Mikasa Ackerman from Attack On Titan) will be voicing the character of Kyōko Izanami.
Ryohei Kimura (Known for voicing the role of Kise Ryota from Kuroko No Basuke) will be voicing the character of Ashura Kokuhō.
The Day I Become A God – What’s it About?
Written by Jun Maeda and illustrated by Na-Ga, The Day I Become A God, is a Japanese Visual Novel which is the third attempt at writing an Original story for a visual novel. After a successful run with Angel Beats! 2010 and Charlotte in 2015, this will be his third successful visual novel that has inspired an Anime.
The Story follows the life of a lazy and lonesome high school boy, Yōta Narukami, who on the last day of his summer vacation encounters a girl named Hina. She claims to be a god and informs him that the world will end in a mere 30 days. Upon proving her god powers to Yōta she decides to live at his place and announces that she will be living with Yōta from now on. This begins a daily life of new experiences for both Yōta and Hina but the clock is running out as they begin to get closer and closer.
