The Broken Marriage Vow is a TV series drama that hails from the Philippines and is directed by Connie Macatuno and Andoy Ranay. The show is based on another drama series that was created by BBC named Doctor Foster by Mike Bartlett. The Philippines become of the six countries that adapted the hit tv shows. The show first made its debut on 24 January 2020.
The shooting for the show began in the July of 2021 in the city of Baguio, and it ended in December of 2021. The story of the show around a family that is perfect from the outside but on the inside, it is a broken family that is without any emotions left in them. The story revolves around Dr. Jill Illustre, who discovers that her husband named, David who, has an affair.

His mistress, Lexy is the daughter of one of her patients, her father is one of the people that back up her husband’s house development project that is located in Baguio. This place is a stunning mountain city on the northern island of Luzon that is located in the Philippines. This city is a very small place where things can’t hide from everyone as people hear everything that is going around this small city. Jill heard all these rumors from her mutual friends and workplace friends, who all are aware of David cheating on her loving wife, but all of them wanted to hide it from her as they didn’t want to hurt her.

Jill finally sees the proof of this, which confirmed these rumors into reality as she sees the photo of David and Lexy pretending to be a couple in front of other people. Furthermore, what fueled her fire, even more is when she discovered that Lexy is pregnant. After what happens is the series of events that will turn the life of the couple upside down, which includes the life of their son Gio as well as the people that are involved with it. As for the cast, it consists of Jodi Sta. Maria plays the role of Dr. Jill Victorino, Zanjoe Marudo as David Ilustre, Sue Ramirez as Alexis “Lexy” Lucero, Zaijian Jaranilla as Gio V. Ilustre.
