The Bad Guys is an animated film that is produced by DreamWorks Animation. It is been directed by Pierre Perifel, the screenplay has been written by Etan Cohen. It is based on a book series that goes by the same name whose author and illustrator is Aaron Blabey. Moreover, Aaron Blabey also serves as an executive producer alongside Cohen and Patrick Hughes. This book series was on the radar of many studios as they, on countless occasions, expressed their interest in adapting the series into a movie as it was first reported by The Daily Telegraph. After some time, it was publically announced that the film will be developed by DreamWorks Animation.
It was said by many that this film will be different when it comes to the heist genre, which was quite an interesting statement. Work on the movie began in 2019, which was the time when Covid 19 was at its peak. Numerous movies, as well as Tv shows production, were halted for the safety of the cast and the production crew. As Covid had affected and did a great deal of damage to the world in general, but this didn’t stop the production of this film as the crew was told to work from the safety of their home, which was a plus side. The film’s design was inspired by Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, which was one of the biggest films of 2018 and inspired the crew to pitch an idea that looked more stylized.
The Bad Guys Plot Details
The plot of the story revolves around a heist group that has accomplished many legendary heists. This group consists of Mr. Wolf, Mr. Snake, Mr. Piranha, Mr. Shark, and Ms. Tarantula. But even with such success, they are caught and are sentenced to prison for their crime. But to avoid the prison, these outlaws decide to do one last thing which can save them, which is to become a good citizens of their society. They plan to achieve this by following what their mentor, Professor Marmalade, tell them to do so that this gang of extraordinary thieves can fool the world into believing that they are turning good.

The Bad Guys Release Date
As for the release date, the movie has already been released in the USA and has been positively received by the audience as well as the critics. It will be released in the Philippines on 27 April 2022 as well as in the Netherlands on the same date.
