The Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime is one of those anime series that is wholesome and funny at the same time. It lies in the Isekai Genre, which is similar and was first a light novel that was written by Fuse and illustrated by Mitz Vah. It revolves around a man named Satoru Mikami, who is a 37-year-old worker that is living in Tokyo and has a very boring life in which he doesn’t even have a girlfriend. One day he is hanging out with his colleagues, and then suddenly, a man comes out of nowhere and stabs him. There wasn’t any hope for him to survive the incident, and as life was leaving his body, an echoey voice whispered in his mind, which are commands that he couldn’t make sense of.
Afterward, he regains his consciousness in which he realizes that he has been reincarnated as a Slime in an unknown world. This at first sounded will bad, but it had its perks, one of which is that he gets the ability that is called Predator. This ability allows him to devour anything and mimic its appearance as well as its skills. Satoru then meets a powerful storm Dragon that has been sealed for 300 years because he destroyed a town once. Our hero felt sorry for him and decides to free this dragon from the seal. Both told each other their names, and the Slime then devoured the dragon, which lead to the seal being lifted, which freed the dragon.

What this did was trigger a series of events that changed the course of history. Upon the disappearance of Veldora’s aura, a natural power vacuum was created, which in terms made Rimuru the leader of all beings that live in the Great Forest of Jura. Those that accepted him as their leader founded the nation of Tempest.
As time progressed and with his strength, wisdom, and idealistic vision, they grow into a very strong Kingdom that draw the attention of many monarchs, legendary heroes, and demon lords who want to take advantage of them or destroy them completely. The details as to what will happen in the story are still unknown to us, but most likely, the third season will begin from where the second season left and continues the story forward.

As of writing this, the show hasn’t been renewed for a third season, and this is pretty disappointing news for the fans, no doubt, but there is something else for them coming which is a film for the anime that is named “That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: Guren no Kizuna-hen” which is getting produced by Eight Bit. This film is slated to be released in November 2022, but the exact release date is still unknown. Hopefully, after the film is released, news on the third season will get revealed.
