Taiso Samurai or Gymnastics Samurai is a gymnastic themed Anime that has been announced to be aired on the 10th of October 2020. On August 13th, the official twitter account of Taiso Samurai announced that the Promotional Video has been released and that the anime is also set to air in the fall of 2020.

The Anime doesn’t have a manga source and will be a project that doesn’t have a source material to follow. Taiso Samurai is probably one of the first actual gymnastic anime and thus garnered a lot of attention from anime watchers, the promotional video looked pretty good in terms of the quality and definitely has piqued the interest of many fans.
With the release of Taiso Samurai, which will make a total of 8 projects released by MAPPA Studio in 2020 alone, assuming Attack on Titan Season 4 is also being released in the fall of 2020. MAPPA Studio has been consistently releasing more and more anime and is clearly aiming on getting the best anime to be animated.

Taiso Samurai – What’s it About?
So far what we know about the new anime series is that the show follows the life of a 29-year-old male gymnast, Shoutaro Aragaki, who is a former Japanese representative. Shoutaro is having difficulty with moving his body the way he wants it to, after seeing Aragaki struggling every day and training really hard without much improvement, Shoutaro Aragaki’s coach Amakusa recommends him to retire. Amidst this stressful time, a fateful encounter changes Aragaki’s life completely.
Joutarou Aragaki is voiced by Daisuke Namikawa, Noriyuki Amakusa is voiced by Kenyuu Horiuchi, Rei Aragaki is voiced by Rina Honizumi, Leonardo is voiced by Kensho Ono, and Tetsuo Minamino is voiced by Yuki Kaji. The Anime is Directed by Hisatoshi Shimizu who is also the Director of the popular anime Zombieland Saga, The Series Composition is handled by Shigeru Murakoshi, The Character Design is done by Kasumi Fukagawa and the Chief Animation Director for the anime is Fumihide Sai.
