2020 has been weird, and we have been forced to sit at home year-round, and the release of the most anticipated movies and video games have been delayed. So, fans of dungeon-crawler, beware! Grimorio of Games and publisher JanduSoft have confirmed that the Sword of Necromancer’s release has been pushed back.
The release of this much-awaited game has now been pushed back twice. Quite frustrating, but at least it’s going to be here soon! The announcement was made on the Kickstarter page. The developer said that the game was delayed because December 10th was also the release date of the CD Projekt Red’s Cyberpunk 2077. Can’t have too much fun in one day, right? The developer pushed it back, so these two’s release dates do not crash.
Introduction to Sword Of Necromancer
Sword of Necromancer is described to be similar to dungeon-crawler but with rougher elements. You are supposed to control Tama, who uses the powerful but forbidden powers of the Sword of the Necromancer. The fun part is that the players, through Tama, can use the Sword to bring their enemies back to life and turn them into their allies. Oh, I cant wait to do that! The goal of the players is simple enough to understand, though not so simple to accomplish.
They are to fight their way to the dungeons’ depths to revive Koko by obtaining enough soul power. If Tama gets defeated by the enemies before reviving Koko, the players will lose all the monsters that they had managed to turn into their allies and all the equipped items they had collected. Sounds complicated but they will still possess half of the level they had reached during their previous run. Tama can use all kinds of assorted weapons and magical items to help him during his run. Tama can also level up the status and the monsters while fighting.
Sword Of Necromancer: Release Date Details
Cyberpunk’s release is not the only reason for this delay. The developer encountered some issues when it tried to get the game approved for Nintendo Switch. The certification for Playstation4 and Xbox One was granted without any problems. According to the developer, the problem was that “the game’s screen appeared cut when forcing the game to be displayed with a 480p resolution on a 1080p screen.” Because of this strange problem, Grimorio Games had to redo the game’s certification process all over again.
Sword of Necromancer is set to release on January 28th, 2021. It will launch on PlayStation4, Nintendo Switch, PC, and Xbox One. You can find it on Steam right here.
