Sarah Gavron’s period drama Suffragette, starring Meryl Streep. He was the first commercial or independent film to shoot on location at London’s Houses of Parliament. Cells And The Prison Wing
Ruthin Gaol in Denbighshire, designed to resemble Pentonville, served as another Holloway doppelgänger filming location. Great St Bartholomew’s Church in West Smithfield, founded by a courtier of King Henry I in the early 12th century, is located in one of London’s oldest neighborhoods.
