The official production of Star Trek Picard Season 2 will probably commence in February 2021. Jeri Ryan confirmed that the production of Star Trek Picard’s Season 2 is going to start and is scheduled from Feb 1, 2021.
The finale of the inaugural season of Star Trek Picard was streamed in March 2020. It was supposed that the production for Star Trek Picard’s Season 2 will start in the summer of 2020. But the Coronavirus pandemic hit the world so hard that all the scheduled shows got postpone. However, with the official confirmation, things are starting to fall on the line, so we hope for speedy progress once the team gets back in action.

Season 1 story was full of secrets and intrigue. All the 20 episodes were full of action drama story. Now the question is, what season 2 will bring for the fans. Though Michael Chabon, co-creator of the second season, told that Picard got more time for getting polished. Well, maybe Picard will not be the central character in Star Trek Picard’s Season 2.
As per the Production Cycle details, the third season of Star Trek will soon start after the second season shoot will get complete. Also, it seems that CBS All Access has acclaimed the whole three series of Star Trek.
The main character of the series, named Jean Luc Picard, has completed two web series and four films in his career till now. In 1987 it was the first time.

At the starting of Star Trek Picard Season 1, all the new and old characters were added to the main cast. All the character’s story reflected their life in a scattered manner. A roboticist whose research was left in between, a pilot whose confidence was lost because of his father figure death, a Starfleet officer whose job and family were lost due to his disgrace, and a retired admiral who was spending his old age; all remembered his past. Overall the ending was full of shocking deaths and surprises.
Now the fans are excited for Star Trek Season 2 so that they can get answers for the leftover mysteries from season 1. Like about Narek, Lore’s status, XB’s destiny, and the artifact Borg Cube.
Star Trek Picard Season 2: Production and Release Date
According to Trek Movie, the team first officially announced that the second season’s production would start in January 2021. Evan Evagora also confirmed this news that it would be in January only.
A fan asked Ryan on Twitter regarding the production in January of Season 2 of Star Trek Picard’s then she revealed the new start date, i.e., February 2021. However, it was planned for June 2020 but delayed due to a pandemic.
It was premiered on All Access CBS streaming service in January 2020, and the finale was premiered in March 2020.
Same as season 1, season 2 will also be comprised of a total of 10 episodes. Though the official release date is not yet confirmed, it’s confirmed that season 3 will happen in the future. Season 1 is available on Amazon Prime Video.
