The Anime Adaptation of the Manga Series by Kagiji Kumanomata, Sleepy Princess In The Demon Castle, was announced in the 42nd issue of Weekly Shōnen Sunday back on 18th of September 2019. On Thursday the Official Website of the Anime Series revealed its second Promotional Video along with key visuals for the anime.
The Anime Adaptation of Sleepy Princess In The Demon Castle will be premiering on the 5th of October in Japan, it will be broadcasted on TV Tokyo after which it will be shown on AT-X, BS TV Tokyo, and U-NEXT in the days following the 5th of October.
The Anime Series Sleepy Princess In The Demon Castle will be handled by Studio Doga Kobo and will be directed by Mitsue Yamazaki. The Script for the anime series will be written by Yoshiko Nakamura and the Character Designs for the anime will be taken care of by Ai Kikuchi.
Sleepy Princess In The Demon Castle – What’s It About?
Written and Illustrated by Kagiji Kumanomata, Sleepy Princess In The Demon Castle is a Japanese Manga Series that was serialized in Shogakukan’s Weekly Shōnen Sunday back in May of 2016. The manga series is still ongoing and currently has released a total of 15 volumes.
The Story follows the life of Princess Syaris, who has been abducted by the Demon King Tasogare, who wants to defeat the Hero. The princess is beloved by her people and as such it was decided that the Hero will go on a quest to rescue the Princess but in the meantime, Princess Syaris just wants to catch up on her sleep as she suffers from insomnia. So while she waits to be rescued the princess starts making the prison she’s in fit the perfect conditions to get some good sleep which is much more difficult than one would expect.
The Prison Guards who try to dominate her and scare her come to the horrifying realization that the Princess is much more powerful than anyone guarding her.
