Recently, Drake and DJ Khaled released a new song ‘Popstar’, and it featured the real-life pop star, Justin Bieber. However, that’s not what fans are crazy about. Of course, the song and the MV are hip, but, Bieber mentioning his ex in the song is a bigger hot-topic among the fans. Bieber is seen lip-syncing to Drake and casually mentions his ex-girlfriend in the song. Drake also mentioned Bieber in his lyrics, which he[Bieber] sung smugly. Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez have been one of the most loved couples of Hollywood. Unfortunately, the duo broke-up for good and are doing great in lives.
But, fans like to link the two together and it happened again this time. Netizens wonder whether Selena was also asked to act alongside ex-bf in the MV. And, according to some sources, these speculations are cleared as well.
So, let’s go ahead and get to know more about the new song and MV:
Selena To Appear In A Cameo Role?
Netizens filled the social media with speculations of whether the ‘ice-cream’ singer was supposed to make an appearance in the MV of ‘Popstar’. And, it turns out she was never asked to make a cameo and did not plan to appear alongside her ex. According to a source, the singer has confirmed that she was never approached to appear in Drake’s new music video.
Also, a source told People magazine, that the rumors about Selena making a cameo are entirely false. “Selena was never approached and had no plans to participate in the music video.” The magazine commented.
The recently released song sees Justin giving a shout out to her ex, and the lyrics go: “Look, Ariana, Selena, my Visa/ It can take as many charges as it needs to, my girl.” The ‘Yummy’ singer is lip-syncing to Drake’s lyrics in the video.
Popstar By Drake and DJ Khaled Ft. Justin Bieber
The new collaboration by DJ Khaled and Drake looks fun and looks very dramatic. The video is eight minutes long and it features Dj Khaled, Drake, and Justin Bieber. The video starts with Drake getting annoyed by Khaled’s continuous nagging and harassment. Moreover, the duo can be seen arguing over their new song, and later Drake says, it’s like when you give someone everything you had, and they’re just like another one, another one. He mocks Khaled as ‘another one’ is his signature tagline.
Later we see Drake turning to Bieber for help, and then the song begins. Also, Bieber’s wife, Hailey makes an appearance at the end of the video.
