Record of Ragnarok is a manga written by Shinya Umemura and Takumi Fukui. Ajichika serves as the illustrated manga which began its publication in November of 2017. An anime series was then announced because the popularity of the manga was pretty insane as it was rated highly by the audience and quickly made a following because of its unique story and the fighting sequences, all of which are ingrained into the minds of the audience. The anime was handled by studio Graphinica which was licensed by nonother than the streaming giants Netflix.
What this means is that the anime will only air on Netflix worldwide. The first season was directed by Masao Ōkubo, and Kazuyuki Fudeyasu served as the writer. Upon its release, the anime was on Netflix and was watched by numerous people which made it extremely popular. Because of this popularity, a second season of the show was announced on the official website of the anime in August of 2021. This wasn’t surprising news as the anime has been received well by the audience, but it had its fair share of criticism for its pacing issues.

The cast of the second season hasn’t been announced, but most of the cast will be returning for the second season. Brunhilde will be voiced by Miyuki Sawashiro, Göll will be voiced by Tomoyo Kurosawa, Randgriz is voiced by Aya Kawakami, and Kojiro Sasaki is voiced by Kazuhiro Yamaji. In the manga, numerous characters have been introduced, but before mentioning their name, a spoiler warning because you will be spoiled for the second season of the anime. Now that’s out of the way, these characters include the infamous Jack the Ripper, who is a British serial killer from the 19th century.

Raiden Tameemon is the highest-rated Japanese sumo wrestler from the 19th century. Buddha, who once was a human and also founded Buddhism, he called “The Enlightened One.” Qin Shi Huang was the first emperor that unified entire China during the 3rd century BC. Leonidas I is a Spartan king that is known for his role at the Battle of Thermopylae. All of these characters are from the manga, but there haven’t been any details on who will be voicing these characters. In the upcoming days, the cast for the show might get revealed.
Record Of Ragnarok Season 2 story
As for the story, every 1000 years, the gods gather and decide the fate of humanity. The human race has been living for 7 million years, and gods have decided that the humans are beyond irredeemable because of that, they should be eradicated. But Brunhilde, a valkyrie, wants to give humanity a chance to redeem themselves in the eyes of the gods, and this was agreed upon by the gods. They decided to have a tournament named Ragnarok in which 13 infamous humans from pages of history against 13 of the most powerful gods will each other to death.
Record Of Ragnarok Season 2 Release Date
