The story of the anime is set in a world where people with superhuman abilities reside, and the protagonist, Saitama, is one of those individuals as he is a very powerful being that hasn’t met his challenge yet as he can defeat all of his enemies with a single punch. Because of this reason, he is empty inside within and got no respect from anyone. His attitude towards others is laid back, and sees no point in his life. It is a very interesting story that tells the tale of Saitama trying to find a worthy opponent who will quench his desire of going all out in a fight.
In the third season, the show will pick up where it left off, which will be after the fight with the Elder Centipede, which ended with Saitama winning the fight.
