No Exit is an American thriller movie of 2022, directed by Damien Power, screenplay by Andrew Barrer and Gabriel Ferrari. It is one of the famous thriller movies of recent times. The script of the movie is based on the novel of the same name by Taylor Adams, which was published in 2017. The movie cast is the stars of recent times like Havana Rose Liu as a recovering drug addict who comes across a kidnapping in progress while unable to move from there due to a bad storm with strong winds and snow. Danny Ramirez, David Rysdahl, Dale Dickey, and Dennis Haysbert
are the four prime suspects of the film, while Mila Harris plays the victim card. The music of the film was contributed by Marco Beltrami and Miles Hankins. No Exit was released on Hulu in an Ott platform on February 25, 2022, by 20th Century Studios. The film got several reviews from critics, some positive and some negative. It is only a 95 min film, so it is popularly categorized as a popcorn movie.
Cast of No Exit
Darby Thorne, the lead role of the film around whom the whole story runs, was played by Havana rose, Liu. Ash, a role who is one of the suspects, was played by Danny Ramirez.

Lars, who is a partner of Ash in the crime, the second suspect of the film, was cast by David Rysdahl. Dale Dickey plays the role of Sandi, Ed’s wife, who is also the prime suspect of the film. Mila Harris played the victim role very well as the kidnapped girl, Jay. Dennis Haysbert is Ed, one of the suspects and Sandi s husband. Corporal Ron Hill, one of the villains in the film, was played fantastically by Benedict Wall. Darby s sister, Devon, who helps Darby save Jay from the kidnapper, was played by Lisa Zhang. Hweiling Ow was Darby’s mother who was seen to be hospitalized.
Plot Explained:
The film starts with a scene in which recovering addict Darby Thorne gets to know that her mother is in the hospital. To escape rehabilitation, she moves to Salt Lake City. While the journey begins towards salt lake city, she was stopped by Corporal Ron hill in the middle of the road, Corporal Ron Hill tells her that the interstate way is closed because of a developing heavy storm with winds and snow. She has no other way except to stay the whole night at a local visitors center where the kidnapping happens. The people inside the visitor s center are Ash, Lars, and a couple Ed and Sandi. Darby goes outside the center to look up for a signal and a chance to get out of the storm back home and ends up discovering that someone kidnapping a girl in a van.

Darby fixes her sight on the van and uses her knowledge to observe the van’s license plate and tries to know who is driving the van, and deduce that Lars is the kidnapper. She enters the bathroom and goes through a hole in the wall to get back outside and smashes into the van and makes a conversation with the girl, and promises to save her. Not aware of her presence, Lars enters the van and reveals the girl’s name as Jay, Later on, Ed grows suspicious after seeing Lars’s odd behavior. As he comes out of the van to bring Jay something to eat, Meanwhile Darby passes through the hole in the wall and gets back into the cabin.
Jay has Addison’s disease, which causes an adrenaline overdose if she is over-stressed. In the bathroom, Darby tells Ash about Jay and asked to help her to save Jay, Ash agrees to help. When Darby goes outside, Ash reveals that he is Lars’s brother and is a partner in the kidnapping. Ash takes Darby back inside and threatens with a knife, and warns to
kill her if she informs Ed and Sandi about Jay. Meanwhile, Jay cuts herself free from the ropes that were tied around her wrist and runs into the woods. In the bathroom, Darby attacks Ash, but he takes the upper hand, and the escape trial of Darby fails. Later, Lars goes through the hole in the wall and stops his brother from strangling Darby. In the struggle, Darby takes Ash’s keys.

No Exit Ending Explained
Ash and Lars point the knife and force Darby to help them look for Jay. They disclose that they are transporting her to their Uncle Kenny, who runs a sex trafficking ring. However, Darby manages to use a flashlight to blind the kidnappers and escape. Ash fires his firearm, alerting the couple Ed and Sandi. By the time Ed and Sandi find her, she faints. Darby enters the cabin and informs Ed and Sandi about the kidnappers, and warns them to be safe.
After locking the entrance, Ed starts to negotiate with Ash and Lars, He promises to give them the car keys in return only when they give Jay the medicine she needs to survive. As Darby puts the keys out of sight, Ash and Lars cover the cabin with gasoline. Jay wakes up and identifies Sandi as her maid. A flashback comes out that Sandi helped Ash and Lars to take Jay from her house. She agreed to meet the kidnappers to give them Jay’s medicine. In the present, Sandi lets Ash and Lars inside.
After knowing that Darby is the only person who knows where the keys are, Ash kills the couple Ed and Sandi and uses a nail gun to staple Darby to the wall. While this was happening Her phone received a text message, Ash reads the message and informs her that her mother, who was hospitalized, passed away. Later, she received another text which reveals that Corporal Ron is on his way to the cabin. When Ash threatens to hurt Jay with his gun, Darby reveals where the keys are kept. Ash gives his gun to Lars before leaving the room to search for the keys. Darby tells Jay to turn off the lights.
At the end of the film, A scene is displayed in which Darby sniffs cocaine to give herself the energy to pull the nail out of her hand and tries to escape. As Lars gets distracted, she takes his gun while Ash returns. After Ash accidentally shoots and kills his brother in the head with the nail gun, Darby and Jay run outside to make their escape trial a successful one. Ash tries to punctures their vehicle and lights the cabin on fire. While the trial succeeds, Corporal Ron arrives, Darby shoots Ash, whereas Ron shoots Darby. Ash takes her weapon and shoots Ron dead. As he tries to kill Darby, she uses a screwdriver to puncture his neck ends up painfully killing him. Darby uses Ron’s radio to call for help. In a flashforward, Darby’s sister Devon visits her in rehabilitation.
