When Matt Saunders, a shy and lonely project manager at a design business, encounters Jenny Johnson on the train in New York, he invites her out on a date and to dinner with him. Jenny immediately falls in love with him, they have sex, and she tells him her true identity: she is the powerful superhero G-Girl. Jenny becomes envious, controlling, and manipulative after meeting his coworker and friend Hannah Lewis, and Matt takes the advice of his best friend Vaughn Haige and ditches her, hurting her heart. Jenny makes Matt’s life a living misery while he pursues Hannah. Professor Bedlam, G-archenemy Girl’s and Jenny’s former high school sweetheart, advises that Matt entice Jenny to rob her of her superpowers.
Wilson made his acting debut in Wes Anderson’s short film Bottle Rocket, which he co-wrote with his older brother Owen in 1994. Faris was born in Baltimore, Maryland, to sociology professor Jack Faris and special education teacher Karen Faris on November 29, 1976. When He was six years old, his family moved to Edmonds, Washington. Her father was the University of Washington’s vice president of internal communications and then the president of the Washington Biotechnology and Biomedical Association, while her mother taught at Edmonds’ Seaview Elementary School.
Robert Faris, Faris’ older brother, is a sociologist and professor at the University of California, Davis.
