Xiaomi’s Mi Watch Color series gets a new model’s sports edition smartwatch. The device has already been launched in China as a part of its initial promotion. Other than releasing in China, the device is expected to make its entry in other parts of the world in upcoming days. Instead of opting for a rectangular design, the device gets a round dial display screen option. Mi claims that the device will feature a 1.39-inch AMOLED display. This display screen is spacious enough to accommodate multiple android applications. To communicate with the device and also choose various other options, the device comes with two buttons placed on the right side of the device. The sport edition smartwatch tends to have multiple options, which include 117 sports modes. Prior to this model, the smartwatch comes with multiple strap colors.
Sports edition smartwatch from Mi will feature a 1.39-inch display screen, which provides 454×454 pixels resolution. As leaked during the development phase of the device, it gets an AMOLED screen that provides a user-friendly visual experience. In default, the device gets 120 watch faces, which can be opted for based on the user’s choice of preference. Other than these watch faces, the display screen can be customized.
The device gets a 420mAh battery capacity, which makes it durable to stay online for long hours. The manufacturing company claims that this new model smartwatch from Mi will have 16 days with typical usage. There are several other modes that are available in the smartwatch, which makes the device that consumes less power and extends the battery life up to 22 days. In this mode, only the essential feature will be used, whereas the many advanced features will be disabled to consume less power.

Outdoor sports mode is an advanced mode that detects the user’s motion through the sensors. Mi claims that the device can stay in this mode continuously for 50 hours. Connectivity is provided through various advanced features like NFC, Bluetooth, and Glonass. The sport edition smartwatch from Mi is designed in such a way that it automatically recognize and track down the user’s activity. Being a sport edition, the sensors are programmed to detect 117 sports modes, which include basic sports activities.
Other than this, the device also gets basic smartwatch features like a 24-hour heart rate monitoring option and PPG sensor. One of the much-needed blood oxygen sensors is included with the device. This option has received much positive response soon after the pandemic because the affected patients suffered due to the breathing problem.

It’s said that the device comes with a silicone coating that prevents water from entering the device. Mi has worked on a connectivity option to connect with smartphones having Android 4.4 devices and above. As announced earlier, it was also be connected to iOS 10.0 and above. The device comes with six different colored TPU bands. The device is designed in such a way that it can perform some of the basic smartphone features like notifying the messages and calls.
