On Friday, the Second Trailer for the Live Action Film, Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken!, inspired by the Japanese Manga by the same name was streamed on TOHO’s YouTube Channel. Intially set to hit theaters in May of 2020, the Movie will be opening in Japanese Theaters on the 25th of September 2020 after being delayed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Live Action Film, Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken!, will be Directed by Tsutomu Hanabusa and the Screenplay will be handled by Mizuto Takano along with Tsutomu Hanabusa. The Movie is being Co-produced by Akito Takahashi and Hiro Maruyama.
The Cast For The Live Action Announced Include:
Asuka Saitō (A member of the Idol Group Nogizaka46 and Starred in the Movie “You Are The Apple Of My Eye”) will be playing the role of Midori Asakusa.
Minami Umezawa (A member of the Idol Group Nogizaka46 and Starred in Nogizaka46’s version of “Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon” Musical) will be playing the role of Sayaka Kanamori.
Mizuki Yamashita (A member of the Idol Group Nogizaka46 and Starred as Hiromi in the movie “Every Day A Good Day”)will be a playinf the role of Tsubame Mizusaki.
Sakurako Konishii (Starred as Monika in the Movie Hatsukoi) will be playing the role of Tōru Dōtonbori.
Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken! Manga Series has also inspired an Anime Adaptation as well as a Live Action Drama Series. The Anime Adaptation was handled by Studio Science Saru and was Directed by Masaaki Yuasa, and the Script was written by Yūichirō Kido. The Anime series began airing in January and finished by March of 2020, with a total of 12 episodes released.
The Live Action Drama Series, which was 6 episodes long consisted of the same Cast and Staff from the Live Action Film. The Drama Series ran from April 5th 2020 to May 10th 2020.
About The Manga | Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken!
Written and illustrated by Sumito Ōwara, Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken!, is a Japanese Manga Series that was serialized in Shogakukan’s Monthly Big Comics Spirits back in 2016 and is still ongoing. The Manga series has released a total of 5 Volumes so far and is still going strong.
The story follows Midori Asakusa, who wants to make an anime but is too scared to take the first step and almost gives it up until she comes across Tsubame Mizusaki. Tsubame Mizusaki is a popular girl at school and doesn’t give off any interest in anime but secretly wants to be an Animator in the future. Hence Midori, Tsubame along with the money loving Sayaka Kanamori, these three decide to create the “Eizouken” Club with the aim to create the greatest anime ever.
