Jujutsu Kaisen, perhaps the biggest name from this year’s fall line-up of anime, is on the horizon. With the story getting better and better with each passing week, many fans have begun thinking about Season 2 for the series as well. If you’re one of those fans, then I got some news for you, so far the anime has been announced for 24 episodes long Season 1. Since Season 1 is only at Episode 7 so far, it’s kinda premature to worry about the next season and rather enjoy season 1 instead. However, that will not be stopping me from providing information about a potential Season 2 and even some more information about Season 1 of Jujutsu Kaisen.
Plot Overview | Jujutsu Kaisen
The story follows the life of an unnaturally athletic high school boy, Yujin Itadori, who, despite his obvious talent in track and field, refuses to take part in the club after school and instead joins the Occult Research Club. He joined the Occult research club mostly to pass the time and spend his time with his seniors, but this all changes his seniors undo a sealed talisman revealing a rotten finger which begins attracting curses to Yujin’s school.
Curses are evil creatures that come to existence from negative emotions and are exorcised by Sorcerers. In order to prevent the curses from harming his friends, Yujin consumes the finger becoming the host of Sukuna, but to everyone’s surprise, he doesn’t lose control of himself. Satoru Gojō, A High-Class Sorcerer, takes Yujin to the Tokyo Metropolitan Magic Technical College to consume all of the Sukuna and then later be killed once and for all.
Jujutsu Kaisen Anime Status – Will There Be A Season 2?
As of now, the anime has been gaining more and more popularity and is merely in its 7th episode. Based on the manga readers, the upcoming Episodes are expected to be mind-blowing, and the story is a must-watch. With the help of good animation and casting, Season 1 got off to a good start. Season 1 of Jujutsu Kaisen is supposed to run for a total of 24 episodes, and the thing is, we don’t if it’ll be releasing in cours. We could quite possibly be only receiving 12 episodes this fall and the remaining 12 episodes later on in 2021, or we could be receiving all the 24 Episodes this fall itself. In all honesty, although nothing has been confirmed, I wouldn’t be surprised if we were to get only 12 episodes this fall due to the ongoing COVID-19 Pandemic.
Judging from how far ahead the manga is from the current story in the anime, we could very well receive a Season 2, but it’s mere speculation at this point and time. However, your fans don’t need to stress out too much because we’ll be getting confirmation about Season 2 very soon after Season 1 finished airing.
We’ll update you with more information as and when it has been confirmed, so until then, please check out other articles on the Official Website and look forward to more about the Anime “Jujutsu Kaisen”.
