John David Washington has joined the cast of the upcoming unnamed film at New Regency. The cast also includes stars, Christian Bale and Margot Robbie. David O’ Russell will be helming this new project. Moreover, the multi-talented writer-director-producer is designing the entire from his own idea and script. As per the information received via Deadline, the film will start shooting in January 2021. Also, the production will take place in Los Angeles. Everything regarding the plot and storyline is currently a mystery and so is Washington’s role. Earlier, actor Michael B. Jordan was also associated with the film. However, that’s now the case anymore.
New Regency was founded by Arnon Milchan in 1984. The production company is associated with a huge list of projects. It includes 12 Years a Slave,” “JFK,” “Heat,” “Fight Club,” “Little Women,” “The Big Short” and “Mr. & Mrs. Smith.

The Team Behind The Project
The unnamed project encompasses a brilliant team. From actors to directors to the cinematographer, all of them are big names in the industry. As we already informed, the movie will be directed by David O’ Russell. Also, the idea for the story is Russell’s. The director-producer is known for his works like “American Hustle”, “Joy”, and “Silver lining Playbook”. He even received two Oscar nominations for directing and screenwriting for his work in “Silver Lining Playbook” and “American Hustle”. His work list also includes Spanking the Monkey,” “Flirting with Disaster,” “Three Kings” and “I Heart Huckabees.”
Three-time Oscar-winning, Cinematographer, Emmanuel “Chivo” Lubezki is also in the team. Lubezki has earned Oscars for his works in motion films “Birdman,”, “The Revenant”, and “Gravity”.
New Regency will be producing the movie alongside Matthew Budman. Furthermore, New Regency will distribute the film with 20th Century Studios as per the contract.

Washington’s Career
Washington made it into Hollywood with his role in HBO’s comedy series “Ballers”. Later he starred in Spike Lee’s drama-comedy “BlacKkKlansman”, in teh role of Ron Stallworth. Following the success of BlacKkKlansman, Washington also gained Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild Award nominations.
Currently, onscreen he is seen in Christopher Nolan’s “Tenet”. The film has been receiving a lot of love nationwide, making it a blockbuster.
Washington also stars in the drama “Malcolm & Marie,” along with Zendaya. Netflix bought the show last month during the Toronto International Film Festival.
