I Shaved My Beard Then I Picked Up A Highschool Girl, is a Japanese Light Novel Series that has received both a Manga Adaptation as well as a soon to release Anime Series Adaptation. The Anime Adaptation of the Light Novel Series was announced back in December of 2019 and recently more information about the Anime was released on the Twitter Account of the Writer. Ever since it’s release, the light novel, as well as the manga adaptation both, have become very popular due to its writing as well as the artwork.
The story follows a 26-year-old man, Yoshida, who works at an IT Company. After being rejected by the woman he had been trying to date and start a relationship with, he drinks heavily to drown his sorrows. On the way back home he comes across a Highschool girl, Sayu, who is a runaway and offers to sleep with him in exchange of letting her stay with him. Even in his drunken stupor, Yoshida rejects this offer as he realizes the seriousness of the situation and tells her to go back home. After trying to convince her to go and coming up short, he decides he can’t just leave a girl alone helpless in the streets and offers her to stay with him.

The Official Twitter Account of the Writer as well as the Illustrator both tweeted out that the Main Cast, as well as a new Visual for the anime, is available on the Official Website. The Anime series is set to premiere in 2021.
The Anime Adaptation of, I Shaved My Beard Then I Picked Up A Highschool Girl, will be handled by Studio Project No. 9 and will be Directed by Manabu Kamikita. The Script for the Anime will be written by Deko Akao and the Character Designs will be taken care of by Takayuki Noguchi.

Written by Shimesaba and Illustrated by booota, I Shaved My Beard Then I Picked Up A Highschool Girl, is a RomCom Japanese Light Novel Series that was serialized by Kadokawa’s Website Kakuyomu back in 2017. It was later published under Kadokawa Shoten and since then has published a total of 4 volumes. The Light Novel Series has also inspired a Manga Adaptation which is serialized by Kadokawa Shoten in the Monthly Shōnen Ace.
