Honda has decided to recall 608,00o vehicles due to the issues that the cars are facing due to the faulty software and some other major issues which might cause damage to the Customers to trust in Honda. Based on the latest article it’s evident that display that conveys important data to the driver reboots often and the backup camera fails to work properly. The company will start recalling their vehicle from September 23rd this year. The cars which are requested for a comeback are 2018-2020 Odysseys, 2019-2020 Passports, and 2019-2021 Pilots. These are the models that are fitted with faulty software. These car owners are suffering due to the continuous rebooting of the display unit that is fitted inside the car which shows critical information like speed, engine oil pressure, and gear selector position.
the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has announced that due to the malfunctioning of the software that is installed in the display also prevents access to the backup camera. Since the software cannot be updated remotely every owner of the vehicle will be intimated for reprogramming the software from the nearest Honda dealer. On the air, the update might have been possible if the feature was previously embedded in the device. Unfortunately, Honda doesn’t have advanced features fitted with the vehicle. The company might consider going with the remote update feature in feature to provide a hassle-free experience to its customers.

The company has found similar issues with the rear camera systems. The company has a long history of recalling their vehicle for the software restructuring issues. Recently the company has recalled 232,000 Accords and Insights in 2018 for a similar issue. 365,000 units of Fiat Chrysler was also recalled for the similar issues faced with the rear camera.
