Heartstopper is a comedy tv series that is based on the webcomic and graphic novel of the same name that is created by Alice Oseman. The show’s first season aired on 22 April 2022 on Netflix which on its release was on number seven spot on the streaming platform’s Top 10 TV English titles. The production of the show Patrick Walters, Iain Canning, Emile Sherman, Euros Lyn, Alice Oseman, Hakan Kousetta, and Jamie Laurenson served as the executive producers for the show. This happened in a matter of two days and had a total of 14.55 million hours viewed. Furthermore, after a week the show reached the fifth spot with 23.94 million hours viewed.
The critics and the audience loved every single bit of its episodes and they couldn’t get enough of it. It was praised by everyone for its pacing and most of all its representation of the LGBT community. Furthermore, it has a rating of 100% on rotten tomato. 43 reviews which says a lot about the show and how much of an impact it had around the world. After the end of the first season, the fans of the show were wondering when they will be getting another season for the show and it was pretty obvious that more seasons of Heartstopper were on the way because it was a critical and commercial success for Netflix.
Heartstopper Season 2 Plot
And the news did arrive of the show getting renewed for a second and a third season. This announcement was revealed recently on 20 May 2022 which made a lot of fans happy and excited as the story will continue of the protagonists. As for the story, the show’s story revolves around two teens named Nick Nelson and Charlie Spring. Both of them are the polar opposite of each other as Charlie is an openly gay overthinker and on the other hand, and Nick is a soft-hearted, and a rugby player.
These two became friends when both of them made to still in the same class. Their friendship reaches new heights as they continue to see each other. But Charlie at first doesn’t think he has a chance with Nick but slowly and steadily they began to love each other. This show is all about these two’s relationships and the stories that will occur in their life. The story will most likely pick up from where the first season left off and the first season covered the first two volumes of the graphic novel. The second season will also be doing that but nothing has been revealed about it.

Heartstopper Season 2 Release Date
As for the release date, there isn’t any release date revealed it is because the show has only been renewed recently. As the release of Heartstopper will draw near more and more details will get revealed about it. But in my opinion the second season will be coming back very soon because of the show’s popularity and due to that reason, it might be returning in the middle of 2023.
