Happy Deathday is an American comedy slasher film of 2017 directed by Christopher Landon. The film was produced by Jason Blum in Blum house productions in association with Digital Riot Media and Vesuvius Productions. The story of the film was written by Scott Lobdell. The film casts Jessica Rothe and Israel Broussard as the lead roles around which the whole film runs. The cinematography of the film was by Toby Oliver. The music of the film was composed by Bear Mc Creary. The scenes of the film were edited by Gregory Plotkin. The film was distributed by Universal Pictures and was released on 13 October 2016 in the United States of America. It is a 96-minute film that was released in the English language in the United States of America.

What is the plot of Happy Death Day?
The story begins with a scene in which a university student, Theresa Tree Gelbman, is found to be drunk after partying the whole night and wakes up on her birthday in the room of her classmate Carter Davis. She ignored the phone call from his father and dismisses Carter, and returns to her room. Her Housemate Lori Spengler offers a cupcake, which she throws away. Later, Tree meets her married professor Gregory Butler, with whom she is having an affair. That night, after partying on her way, she passes through the tunnel and was murdered by a figure wearing a mask.
Tree wakes up in Carter s bed and was unnerved to find the previous day’s events repeating themselves. Baffled, she relives that day, avoiding the tunnel this time and reached the party. However, the killer manages to follow and kill her again.

What is the ending of the film?
After reliving that day, Tree again wakes up in Carter’s bed, to avoid her death she locks herself in his room but the killer already hiding inside kills her for the third time. She realizes that she is in a time loop. She wakes up again and explains the events to Carter. He suggests she take advantage of the time loop and find her killer, she spends iterations trailing people considering suspects but is killed every time.

After suspecting everyone and traveling in the time loop, she wakes up in the hospital and is found to have multiple traumatic injuries, which indicated physical damage from her previous deaths. The tree sees John Tombs, a serial killer in a local news report, and gets threatened later tombs attack her, but Carter saves her. Later she hangs herself to the top of the tower but founds herself waking up in Carter’s bed. Later, She founds that the actual Killer was Lori who poisoned her cupcake and killed her as Lori also had an affair with Dr. Butler and was jealous of her. Tree wakes up in Carter’s bed, but this time She was not in the time loop, and she kisses Carter at the end.
