Undoubtedly, a lot of projects got sidelined due to the pandemic, and the Happy Death Day film series is also one of them. The third installment is currently held back and we all know the reason why. Happy Death Day is an American dark comedy crime movie helmed by Christopher Landon and written by Scott Lobdell. Moreover, it stars, stars Jessica Rothe and Israel Broussard. Happy Death Day has successfully made two parts and they are highly praised by the audience. However, we are still seeing a delay in the third part, but, it is still in the plan.
Director, Christopher Landon, made it clear that the movie is not canceled and he will definitely make it happen. Luckily, he has dished upon the new possible title and plot of the new part.

Landon revealed that the next part will be titled ‘Happy Death Day to Us’. While getting interviewed by Empire, he also opened about everything we will witness in the new project.
The movie spins around Tree who gets killed and unfortunately, gets stuck in a loop where she relives her death day. The movie is kind of a dark parody to Groundhog Day and it has done a pretty well job. The first part earned $125 million worldwide. Following, this the sequel gained $64 million, which was not as good as the first part.
Landon said, “It’s definitely off to the side at the moment. I wish it wasn’t, and I know that [Jason Blum, producer] is passionate about it, I know I’m very passionate about it, and I know that Jessica [Rothe] is really eager to do it as well.” He also said that he wrote the idea for the third movie, a while ago. Moreover, he informed, that it will be different from the first two parts and they are very excited about it.
Plot For The Third Part
Happy Death Day follows the one-day routine where the lead is stuck in a time-loop. Alteast, this is what we have always known. However, we believe things will change a little according to the details spilled by Christopher Landon.
He said, that the third film will not be set on the same day. He said he doesn’t know if its a big spoiler. DUH! of course, it is. He also said that this time it won’t be very difficult this time to work on the film as compared to the former parts as they were set on the exact same day.
