It is a sad day indeed as popular actor Ray Liotta has passed away. He was67 years old. The Goodfellas actor reportedly died in his sleep in the Dominican Republic. He was there to film a new movie titled Dangerous Waters.
His fiancée Jacy Nittolo was with him while filming. Fans recently saw the actor in the Sopranos prequel movie The Many Saints of Newark and the Amazon Prime series Hanna. Ray Liotta was currently filming the movie Dangerous Waters. Ray’s Goodfellas co-star Joe Pesci remembered the actor and stated that “God is a Goodfella, and so is Ray”.
Several Stars Paid Heartfelt Tribute To Ray Liotta
The actor bagged a big breakthrough role as he played Henry Hill in Martin Scorsese’s iconic flick Goodfellas where he starred opposite Robert De Niro and Joe Pesci. Unlike his reel life roles, Ray insisted on how his personality differed from the tough-guy roles he played in television TV and film. The actor further explained how he has never been in a fight at all, other than during sports, and that just includes pushing and goofy kid stuff! Ray Liotta later starred in shows and movies that include The Many Saints of Newark” (2021), “Marriage Story” (2019) and “No Sudden Move” (2021). Not to for her how he became a household name after starring in Kevin Costner’s “Field of Dreams” (1989) where he portrayed the role of Shoeless Joe Jackson.
While looking back at his career in an early interview, Ray Liotta explained how he had to live through a period where things were down instead of up and he had an up-and-down career. However, the actor said that he is extremely persistent and competitive, and he just wanted to get to a certain place again!
