After getting renewed for its fourth and final season, Glow is dropped by Netflix. Unfortunately, we will not be able to witness the fourth season of Glow. Even though the show was at a halt due to the pandemic, we still believed that it will premiere next season. But, all the waiting went in vain. It has been informed that the real reason behind the cancellation is the COVID. However, it won’t be the first project to face the harsh casualty due to the ongoing pandemic.
Glow is an American comedy-drama series created by Liz Flahive and Carly Mensch. Set in the 1980s the show followed the life of misfit women who were involved in the wrestling promotion called Glowing Ladies Of Wrestling (GLOW). The show stars Alison Brie, Betty Gilpin, and Marc Maron. It debuted in 2017 on Netflix and has been successfully completed 3 seasons. The fourth season was in works but, the renewal status got reversed by Netflix.
The creators and the stars of the show are really shocked by the news. And, they have been interacting with their fans over social media since the news broke out.
Creators Comments On The Cancellation And COVID
The creators of the show, Liz Flahive and Carly Mensch talked about the cancellation and also addressed the bigger problem, the world is facing. Flahive said that COVID has killed actual human beings and apparently our show also fell under its trap. He continued and told Deadline, that Netflix has decided not to finish the production of the finale season. He expressed his grief and talked about the series. Moreover, he reminisced and said that they were given the freedom to create a story about these talented women. And, now they are said that they won’t be able to witness those 15 women together in one frame.
However, he also said that there are a lot of sh*tty things going in the world which are much more important than the show. But, they are still distressed with the cancellation.
Glow has joined the list of other shows which got canceled by Netflix due to the coronavirus. Netflix has already decided not to commission the second season of The Society and I Am Not Okay With This.

Glow is one of the most successful shows led by a strong female lead cast. The show has been a recipient of 15 Emmy nominations and 3 awards in the stretch of its 3-year run.
Season 3 showed the ladies taking a trip to Las Vegas. And, after staying for a few days the ladies realized that all that glitters is not gold. The show also left us on a cliffhanger making the fans wonder if the GLOW team will reunite again or not. But, now after the cancellation, it feels like we will never find out about it.
