Winx Club is a name that is still in the minds of many people as it is been in their childhood. This show was very popular in 2004; its story was set in the world where fairies, witches, and other mythical creatures resided. It was a very good show for the kids because its viewership was very insane. Later the show was revived, which ultimately led to a live-action series of the cartoon. The first season upon its release wasn’t met with a positive response from the critics, who called it out for many reasons and one of which has been forgettable.
But that isn’t the case when it comes to the audience, as upon release, it made it to #2 on Nielsen’s Streaming Charts on the week with 918 million minutes in viewership, being only second to Bridgerton, which was at 936 million. Furthermore, Netflix revealed that the show was watched by 57 million subscribers during the first 28 days of its release. With the show doing such insane numbers, it just goes to show just how much popular the show was. This ultimately lead to the show being renewed for a second season in February of 2021, and it will have a total of eight episodes in that season.

The story revolves around a fairy named Bloom who possesses fire powers that enrolled in the magical boarding school in the Otherworld that is called Alfea. Upon entering the school, she meets new faires as well, who she shares suite with, who are Stella, a light fairy; Aisha, a water fairy; Terra, an earth fairy; and Musa, a mind fairy.
With the help of her friends, she starts to learn about her past, but things take a bad turn as ancient creatures named the Burned Ones have returned to the Otherworld and now are threatening everyone at Alfea. The plot details of the second season haven’t been revealed yet, but the showrunners told in an interview that fans should expect bigger fights, more love stories, and the return of some old characters.
