Demon Slayer is a manga series that is written and illustrated by Koyoharu Gotouge. It made its first debut on 15 February 2016, which ended on 18 May 2020. It was one of the best Shōnen manga that ever graces the Weekly Shōnen Jump, it made a lot of fans during its run, and even after it is finished, there are still people that are flocking to read this amazing manga. The popularity of the manga was so high that an anime was announced, which was handled by Ufotable, which is known for its work in Fate/Zero. The first season of the anime was directed by Haruo Sotozaki and was produced by Akifumi Fujio, Masanori Miyake, Yūma Takahashi, and Hikaru Kondo.
Upon its release, the anime was received positively by critics as well as the audience. It had one of the best-animated scenes/episodes of that year. Furthermore, the fighting scenes were the most impressive as the animators put a lot of effort into it, and their hard work paid off as the anime won many awards at that time. Furthermore, there were two movies released, and one of them became the highest-grossing anime film and Japanese film of all time. The anime is set in the Taishō-era of Japan, and at that time, there is a secret society called the Demon Slayer Corps.
They have been at war with the demons for centuries, but all of this is hidden from the normal people. These demons were once human but are not turned into these creatures by Muzan, who injected those humans with their blood. The demons feed on humans and also possess inhuman abilities which obliterated anyone with any problem. But to counter this, the human side has their ace on their sleeve, which is known as Breathing Styles, which helps them to push these demons back from conquering the world. In this war, Tanjiro Kamado and his family get killed, and his sister gets infected. From that day onwards, he vows to become a demon slayer and rid the world of this evil.
Demon Slayer Season 3 Release Date
The trailer for the third season has been revealed, and the next arc in the anime is called Swordsmith Village Arc. The trailer that was revealed showed the great animation that the series is known for and new characters. As for the release date, the release date for Demon Slayer season 3 hasn’t been unveiled but at the end of this year. Most likely, Demon Slayer Season 3 will be released in May of 2023.
