Boruto Chapter 51 disclosed a lot of new information about the Otsutsuki and how they take over planets. Many expect the upcoming Boruto Chapter 52 to be the end of Naruto as we know it. From the looks of it, Isshiki is simply overpowered, and no matter what, Sasuke and Naruto can’t take him down. Their only way of winning is to stall time until Isshiki’s life runs out and he dies due to the lack of a host.
Boruto: Naruto Next Generations Chapter 51 | Recap
The chapter starts with Boruto claiming that Isshiki can’t kill him because Boruto is an important piece in Isshiki’s plan. Boro, in the previous fight with the Konoha Genin, had disclosed this crucial information, and Isshiki was impressed that the Genins actually defeated Boro. Boruto then threatens to end his life to thwart Isshiki’s plans altogether, but those threats don’t seem to work as Isshiki blasts Sasuke out of the way and break Boruto’s hand. Isshiki claims that he doesn’t have to kill Boruto to immobilize him, meanwhile back at the Konoha village, Amado is explaining to Shikamaru and the other’s how the Divine Tree is made.
Amado discloses why the Otsutsuki travel in teams of two when taking over planets and why Isshiki is hellbent on obtaining Boruto is connected. For the Ten-Tails or the Jyuubi to become the Divine Tree, it must be fed a living Otsutsuki; hence one Otsutsuki will use the Karma to create a new vessel and then be consumed by the Jyuubi. However, this plan was delayed due to Kaguya betraying Isshiki, which forced him to make Jigen his vessel. Kawaki is extremely frustrated that he’s sitting ducks while Naruto and everyone is risking their lives to defeat Isshiki.
Back to the fight, Isshiki summons giant Cubes that cut off all sensory types, making Naruto pretty much blind on the battlefield. That’s when Kurama tells him that there isn’t much he can do to beat Isshiki and his otherworldly powers, and Naruto responds that he is willing to die for the sake of the village and its people. Kurama tells him there might be a way for him to beat Isshiki, but it would come at the cost of Naruto’s life.

Boruto: Naruto Next Generations Chapter 52 | Prediction
From the looks of it, Naruto is most likely going to make the Special Attack that will cost him his life. After all, at the beginning of the Manga, Boruto, in his inner monologue, claimed that this story is about him and not his dad, but his dad played an important role in it for a while. This might perhaps be a farewell to Naruto as we know it. However, I personally don’t think that whatever move Naruto will do will defeat Isshiki because it took both Naruto and Sasuke just to seal away Kaguya. I can’t imagine Naruto alone, taking down Isshiki. Hopefully, the writers do justice to Naruto in his final moments and make it spectacular.
