Bofuri’s second season is one of the most highly anticipated anime for 2022. The show is based on a light novel by the same name, which is written by Yuumikan and illustrated by Koin. The light novel, upon its release, was one of the most popular light novels on Shōsetsuka ni Narō (Shōsetsuka ni Narō is a user-generated website where users can upload their novels for free). Its popularity reach such heights that it was viewed more than 60 million times on that site. It wasn’t a surprise when the anime was announced, and it was produced by Silver Link studio, which has worked on projects such as The Greatest Demon Lord Is Reborn as a Typical Nobody, Kokoro Connect, and many more.
The anime was directed by Shin Oonuma and Mirai Minato, with Fumihiko Shimo acting as the writer for the anime. The anime was pretty decent, with a very good protagonist that possesses a great personality and a diverse cast of characters which makes the show even more fun to watch. The plot of the show revolves around a girl named Kaede Honjō, who is forced by her friend to play VRMMORPG NewWorld Online and also keep her user name as Maple. Upon entering the game, she didn’t want to get hurt by anything in the game. She found a solution for it which is that she became of shield user with maxed-out defense stats.
She continues to increase her defense with each point she gets from her missions. But there are some downsides to it as she has a very slow walking speed and she is without any magic. Instead of becoming her weakness, it becomes her strength as she can endure most hits without taking any damage. With her creative thinking, she makes a lot of accomplishments in the game by only using her brain. It allowed her to gain magic of all sorts which ultimately make her one of the strongest players in the game.
Bofuri Season 2 Cast Members
The plot of the second season is still unknown, and it hasn’t been revealed how many chapters will be adapted in the second season. But the cast of Boruri will be similar to first season, which consists of Kaede Honjō, voiced by Kaede Hondo, Risa Shiromine, voiced by Ruriko Noguchi, Kasumi voiced by Saori Hayami, Kanade voiced by Satomi Arai, Chrome voiced by Noriaki Sugiyama, Iz voiced by Satomi Satō, Mai voiced by Ai Kakuma and many more. New cast members will get revealed as soon as the second season’s release draws near.
Bofuri Season 2 Release Date
Bofuri Season 2 is scheduled to release in 2022, but the exact release window is still unknown to, and the fans will most likely get it at the end of this year.
