After the massive success of Black Panther part 1, a sequel is on its way. According to sources, the creators are planning to begin the production soon. Moreover, the fans are super excited, and it can be clearly seen on social media. Of course, Black Panther had a huge fanbase for multiple reasons. Firstly being a cultural reset as it encompasses an all-black cast. Secondly, we can never forget the great performances of the characters. However, the fans are still not over the death of Chadwick Boseman, who plays Black Panther in the original film. But as life goes on, we expect the fans to continue loving the movie and further expand his legacy.
Black Panther is an American superhero sci-fi Marvel film based on the character from Marvel comics. The 18th film of the Marvel Universe was released in 2018. It is produced by Marvel Studios, whereas Walt Disney Studios distributes it.
Black Panther received love from across the globe and is one of the most famous films from Marvel Studios. Black Panther is also a recipient of 3 Academy Awards out of the seven categories it was nominated for. We expect great success for part 2 as well. But, first, let’s get all the info on Black Panther 2.
Production And Expected Release Date
Earlier the production was set to begin in March 2021. However, the date has now shifted to July 2021. The reason is not clear, but COVID-19 can be one of the many. As the production is yet to begin, the release date is also a mystery. However, if filming affirmatively commences in July, the fans can expect the film to premiere in 2022 or 2023.
The film will begin shooting in Atlanta. We can also see the characters having an extra location on their list, say, South Korea.
Everyone from the previous part is expected to return. The cast includes Letitia Wright (Shuri), Lupita Nyong’o (Nakia), Winston Duke (M’Baku), and Angela Bassett (Ramonda). Also, Ryan Coogler will be serving as the director once again.
As much as we love the original cast, new characters are always fun to watch as they spice up the storyline. Even though we will be majorly missing the original frontman of Black Panther, Marvel Studios will try the best to give his character the justice Black Panther deserves.
Marvel studios were asked about using CGI to bring Boseman’s character to life again. To which they replied, saying that they have no intentions to use CGI to bring Boseman’s existence in any of the Marvel movies.
Black Panther 2 will develop a storyline to showcase T’Challa’s (Boseman) eath in the movie. Moreover, The Hollywood Reporter informed that T’Challa’s sister, Shuri, will have a crucial role in part 2.
As for the new cast, Tenoch Huerta, from Netflix’s Narcos: Mexico is in rumors to join the film as one of the villains; his role is not known at the moment. But, it won’t be long before the Marvel comic fans begin to speculate about it.
