Black Clover was a manga series that was serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shōnen and it was written and illustrated by Yūki Tabata. The manga generated a lot of attention for its medieval setting which was even strengthened by the characters that inhabit this world and most of all the art style that was very clean and easy to read. When it exploded in popularity an anime series was announced and that was handled by Pierrot who is known for their work on Naruto, Bleach, Yu Yu Hakusho, Tokyo Ghoul, and Great Teacher Onizuka.
The story of the anime revolves around a young boy named Asta that lives in an orphanage alongside his fellow orphans but most of all his friend Yuno. Beings of this world have magic powers within them but the same couldn’t be said for Asta as he doesn’t have any magic and now has to rely on his physical strength. But on the other hand, Yuno was a genius who possesses insane magic and can also control wind magic. Both Asta and Yuno dream of becoming the next Wizard King which is a title that is second to only the king of Clover Kingdom. Yuno gets a four-leaf grimoire which is an extremely rare grimoire that is given to those with immense magic capabilities.
On the other hand, Asta who doesn’t have magic somehow gets a five-leaf grimoire that houses a mysterious elf sword and a bodiless demon who comes from the Devil race that utilizes rare anti-magic. Both of them join a Magic Knight squad which brings them one step closer to their goal. Asta joins the infamous Black Bulls which are led by Yami Sukehiro who will guide Asta along with his journey to becoming the Wizard King. Like the manga, the anime was also very popular and it was made into a seasonal anime that has a total of four seasons right now.

But that season has ended unfortunately which has left a gap in the heart of the fans that want to know when they will be getting the fifth season of the show. As of writing this, there isn’t any news regarding when the fifth season of Black Clover will be happening but rest assured as the manga is still going on to this very day. This shows that the studio has a lot of material from which they can start the production of the fifth season. But right their focus is on the upcoming Black Clover movie which is slated to be released in 2023 and there aren’t many details as to what the plot of the movie will be but in the upcoming months, more details will get revealed. Hopefully, after that, the studio will announce the fifth season of Black Clover.
