Black Adam is an upcoming movie that is going to be the eleventh movie in the DCEU (DC Extended Universe). It is based on the comic book character which goes by the same name and it is going to be a spin-off from Shazam!. It is been directed by Jaume Collet-Serra with Adam Sztykiel, Rory Haines, and Sohrab Noshirvani serving as the writers for the movie. Black Adam upon its announcement was received positively by the audience and further hype was generated by when Dwayne Johnson revealed he is associated with the project.
Later, the Rock revealed that he will be playing the role of Shazam’s archenemy, Black Adam. The audience was very excited to hear about this news as he was the perfect person for the role and even the doubters were left in the dust when the photos and trailer for the movie were revealed which portray the Rock as Black Adam. The production of the movie faced problems due to the COVID-19 pandemic because of which the release of the movie was delayed. Furthermore, the script of the movie was rewritten and finally the filming began from April to August 2021.

The plot details of the movie haven’t been revealed right now but there could first be some details on who Black Adam is and touch on his past which will help the fans to understand the character even more. He was once from the kingdom of Kahndaq where people used magic to enslave each other.
During these times, Black Adam rose through the ranks and become the Champion which lead to him liberating the people and ultimately becoming the King. Unfortunately, his family was killed which was the reason he turned to the dark side. He was the one that released the Seven Deadly Sins to the world which lead to his imprisonment. All of these things point towards the fact that the movie can be an origin story of the character but could also mean that it should be after the events of the Shazam movie.

As for the cast, it will consist of Dwayne Johnson as Black Adam, Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher, Aldis Hodge as Hawkman, Sarah Shahi as Adrianna Tomaz, Quintessa Swindell as Cyclone, Pierce Brosnan as Kent Nelson, and many more. Moreover, there were many more members revealed like James Cusati-Moyer, Marwan Kenzari, Bodhi Sabongui, Mo Amer, and Uli Latukefu but their roles haven’t been revealed.
Black Adam Cast Release Date
Black Adam has been going through development hell and when its release date was fixed on 22 December 2021 but due to the pandemic the release date was shifted. But now the release date for the movie has been set which is 21 October 2022.
